O'MAHONEY, John (late of Lismore, Edward Street and The Spá, Tralee, Co. Kerry and formerly of Blackrock, Co. Dublin), April 15, 2023, peacefully, in San Diego, California, John, beloved son of the late Timmy and Eileen (nee Flynn) and brother of the late Denis. He is sadly missed by his former loving wife Rosalyn, his three loving children Greg, Ivan and Grace, his heartbroken partner Maura and her daughter Kate, his adored grandchildren Brandon, Jesse, Phoebe and Saylor, daughters-in-law Emily and Emma and Grace’s partner Jamie. John is also sadly missed by his sister Josephine, brothers Timmy, Gerry, Billy and Patrick, nieces, nephews, extended family friends and colleagues. Reposing at The Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee (V92VK71) tomorrow (Thursday) from 6.00pm to 7.30pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of The Purification, Churchill (V92AK60) on Friday morning at 11.30am where the Requiem Mass for John will be celebrated at 12.00 noon (streamed on www.churchmedia.tv/churchill). Interment afterwards in Réalt na Mara Cemetery, Churchill. May his Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
O'MAHONEY - John (Dublin and Kerry) - Died April 15, 2023. Lovingly remembered by Rosalyn, Gregory, Ivan, Grace, daughters-in-law Emily and Emma, grandchildren Brandon, Jesse, Phoebe, Saylor and Baby Haili, extended family and friends. We wish to thank all who supported and comforted us in our heartbreaking bereavement, our deepest gratitude for all the Mass cards, letters, flowers and on-line condolences. We wish to thank Fr. Francis and Fr. Michael for the beautiful Mass service and Gleasures Funeral Home; Thanks to Sr. Rose and colleagues of Nazareth Nursing homes, San Diego, California, and worldwide, especially Malahide, Mallow and Belfast who all treasured John’s work etiquette and diligence and showed great kindness to us all as a family during those difficult times. We thank all the past staff of Great Southern Hotels where John spent many happy years and most of his working career. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. John was a very special person whom we all deeply loved and will be always in our hearts.
May he Rest in Peace.
