SHERWOOD (née Woods) (Dundrum, Dublin 16), Freda Margaret, at St. Vincent's Private Hospital on May 27, 2013, surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully after a long illness borne with grace, fortitude and dignity. Deeply regretted and sorely missed by her loving husband Robert (Robbie), her devoted children Lee, Tracy, Alun, and Megan, adored grandchildren Conor, Leighan, Ruby, Charlie and Amber, sister Hazel, brother-in-law Ken, relatives and especially Aunt Gladys, son-in-law Vincent, Brian, fondly remembered by her loving friends and neighbours. Funeral Service will take place at Christ Church Taney, (Dundrum) on Friday next at 11.30 o'c followed by cremation at Mt. Jerome, Harold's Cross at 1 o'clock Our grateful thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Vincent's Private Hospital for their dedicated care over many years and particularly over the last few days. House private. Family flowers only please.
SHERWOOD Freda (late of Dundrum, Dublin 16) - Freda's family, on this first anniversary of her passing away on May 27, 2013, wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the many friends, former colleagues and neighbours who gave us such wonderful support and comfort at such a sad time in our lives and particularly to those who travelled long distances to be with us at the funeral service and cremation. Grateful thanks too to the clergy and former clergy of Taney Parish for their pastoral support and a beautiful farewell service and also to the many who sent cards, letters of condolences and personal messages. We also take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Doctor Patricia O'Connell and to the dedicated staff of St Vincent's Private Hospital, especially Doctors Donald McCarthy and Karen Murphy and the wonderful nursing staff of Cedar Ward, as well as the many other hospital staff who befriended and cared for Freda over many years. Thanks also for the generous donations in lieu of flowers in aid of the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust. Freda is greatly missed by all the family and her memory lives on forever in our hearts.
