WARD - Desmond (Des) (Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Mullinasella, Aughnasheelin, Co. Leitrim) October 6, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his family at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Beloved husband of Evelyn and much loved father of Fiona, Jason and Linda. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, grandchildren Erin, Calum, Katie, Max, Liam, Ferdéa, Rónán, Stella, Aisling and Giorgio, son-in-law Davide, daughter-in-law Kathleen, brothers Kevin and Dermot, sister Evelyn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his brother Tommy. Reposing at Cunninghams Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Thursday evening (October 9) from 6pm to 8pm. Removal to the Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock on Friday morning (October 10) arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Alzheimer Society of Ireland. A special word of thanks to the staff at Elm Green Nursing Home and Connolly Hospital who looked after Des so well.
