RING John (Bayside) - February 14, 2016, at St. Vincent's University Hospital, Elm Park, following a long illness, borne with extraordinary courage, resolution and cheerfulness. Beloved husband, companion, soulmate and best friend of Clare. Intrepid navigator, counsellor and advocate of his adored children Niall, Conor and Cathy; sadly missed by his wife, sons and daughter, his mother Claire, sisters Helen, Rosemary, Patricia, Dorothy and Elizabeth his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, all relatives and many good friends. May he rest in peace. Funeral Mass today (Tuesday) at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church, Greendale Road, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5 followed by burial in St. Fintan's Cemetery. I knew John briefly back in the 70s when Helen and I shared a flat. I remember him as a warm and happy young man. It is with great sadness I learn of his death and send my sincere condolences to the whole family. Susan Henderson
