CORCORAN - Joan (née Deegan), July 31, 2024, (Spencer Street, Castlebar and formerly of Brideswell, Askamore, Co. Wexford) following an accident.
Predeceased by her parents James and Nancy Deegan, her sisters Catherine and Betty (Hynes).
Beloved wife to heartbroken Darach for 51 years, sadly missed by her three children Alex, Suzanne ( Keane) and John, daughter-in-law Louise, son-in-law Vincent, her adoring grandchildren, Ross, Ella, Grace, Lillian, Noah and Tom, deeply missed by her sisters Maura(Kavanagh) and Nancy (Leslie) and brothers Shay, Mick and Pat, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May she rest in peace
Joan will repose in Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, F23 XY63, on today (Friday) August 2, from 5.30pm, with removal at 7pm to her residence.
Removal from her residence on tomorrow (Saturday morning) at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
Joan will be laid to rest afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.

CORCORAN - Joan (née Deegan), The Old Rectory, Spencer Street, Castlebar, formerly of Brideswell,
Gorey, died July 31, 2024. As Joans first anniversary approaches, her husband Darach, her children Alex, Suzanne and
John, and her six grandchildren Lillian, Ross, Noah, Tom, Ella and Grace would like to thank all
who sympathised and supported them at the time of her death, at her funeral, and with Masses
and messages. We are particularly grateful to the staff of the Emergency Department, ICU and
palliative care team in Mayo University Hospital, who cared for her with such kindness, to those
friends who helped get the family home from Spain, to Canon Conal Eustace and Rocky Moran
for organising her beautiful funeral, and to Pat Jennings and his team in the Travellers Friend for
looking after us so well afterwards.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as
an expression of our deepest gratitude. Joans Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, July 27 at 11.00am at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
