HYNES - (née Brennan) Jacqueline, Kill Abbey, Deansgrange, Blackrock, Co Dublin, passed away on May 15, 2020.
Husband Seán, children Rachel, Sue (her husband Nicholas Canny), Karen and Dearbhla (her partner Stephen), grandchildren Ben, Senan and Evan wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported us and sympathised with us during Jacqueline’s illness and in the past difficult year. We are so grateful to all those who supplied us with food and drink, which often appeared mysteriously on our doorstep. This made it possible for us to look after Jacqueline at home with her family in her final months, as she would have wished.
It was very moving and hugely appreciated the number of neighbours, relatives and friends, including from Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club who lined the roadside in silent tribute as the cortège left from Kill Abbey. Many also paid their respects at the crematorium, although they could not enter due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of St Vincent’s Hospital and Treasa, the palliative care nurse from Blackrock Hospice who tended to Jacqueline.
Fr Joe Coyne gave us great comfort and Dr Kilian Hynes was a huge support on a daily basis.
We remember too with deep appreciation the sensitive and unobtrusive professionalism of Peter Maguire of Massey Bros. Funerals Ltd. for attending to all the necessary arrangements including the crematorium where Alison Dennan sang so beautifully.
We are so blessed and can never forget the support and sympathy shown to us by so many - a very deep thanks again to all.
May you continue to inspire us,
Jacqueline.
Rest in Peace.
