KENNEDY, Michael (Ben) July 24, 2013 - A year after Ben's death, Deirdre, Robin, Mark, Emma and his sister Sally would like to express our gratitude to all who sympathised with us, called, phoned, sent letters, cards, Mass cards, flowers and cakes and attended his funeral. We are so grateful to the Ambulance and Fire Services and the staff of the I.C.U. at St. Vincent's University Hospital. We wish to thank the Reverend Gillian Wharton, the Reverend Suzanne Harris and our organist, Peter Pearson for conducting such a moving Service. Thank you too to Professor Pat Shannon who spoke about Ben with so much insight and humour. We remember Ben's friends and colleagues in the geological world, one of which he was very proud and gave him so much pleasure and satisfaction. Thank you too to those who travelled distances to be with us. A special word of gratitude to friends in C.H.A., the whist and dog walking fraternities. We very much appreciated the kindness and professionalism of Carnegie's.To live in the hearts of those you love is not to die.
