BROWNING, (née Furlong) Rosemary (Templeogue, Dublin 6W) - December 18, 2020, peacefully after four years illness which she bore with great fortitude and never complained. Beloved wife of Stan for over sixty-one years, and much loved mother of Alan and Kara. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Hannah, Tim, Andrew, Zoe and Rachel, her daughter-in-law Avril, son-in-law Garry. Former Lady Captain of Rathfarnham Golf Club in 1978. The family would like to thank Prof. Leo Stassen and his team at St. James’s Hospital for their expertise and kindness over the period of her illness. Private Service in Rathfarnham Parish Church on Wednesday 23rd December at 11.30am followed by cremation in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome.

BROWNING - Rosemary (Templeogue, Dublin). Acknowledgement and First Anniversary, December 18, 2020. As we lovingly remember Rosemary, we, her husband Stan, son Alan and daughter Kara, wish to express our sincere gratitude to the many people who sent cards, texts, emails, letters and left messages of condolence on-line. A very special thank you to Canon Adrienne Galligan of Rathfarnham Parish Church for her kind words and in particular, for the very personal way she referred to Rosemary during the service and in her address. Our appreciation also to Ken Shellard (cousin) who played the organ both before and for the service. Our thanks to the officers of Rathfarnham Golf Club who provided a guard of honour outside the church, to those who attended the service and the many people who stood outside in the church grounds whilst the service was being relayed. We were greatly honoured to see so many of our kind and thoughtful neighbours who turned out to pay their respects as the hearse made a brief stop at Springfield. To the staff of Fanagans Funeral Directors, we thank you for your professionalism and assistance, and also to David Fanagan for his personal attention to every detail. We would like to express our gratitude in particular to Prof. Leo Stassen and his team in St. James's Hospital for their care, kindness and support over the last four years of Rosemary’s illness.
