ABERNETHY, Bríd (nee O Reilly), (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Oldcastle, Co Meath) January 5, 2024, peacefully in the tender care of the medical staff at The Blackrock Clinic. Predeceased by her parents Eddie and Máirín. Beloved wife of John, much loved mother of Siobhán and Colum, grandmother to Eóin, Ailish, Robert and Jody and mother-in-law to Tony (Byrne). Fondly remembered sister of the late Fr. Frank, Sr. Gráinne and Seán. She will be sadly missed by her sisters and brothers Máire (Lynch), Eddie, Ciarán and Una (Palcic), brothers-in-law Michael Abernethy, Bertie Lynch and Michael Palcic, sisters-in-law Brigid Abernethy, Bernie O Reilly and Alacoque O Reilly, nephews and nieces, her wider family and all her friends. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday (January 9) at 11.00am in Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
