RICE - Rodney (Churchtown, Dublin, and RTÉ). On the anniversary of Rodney's
death, his wife Margo, children Cian, Caitríona and Eoghan,
daughters-in-law Barbara and Sorcha, and son-in-law Joe want to thank all
those from home and abroad, who sent messages of sympathy by letter, card,
text, email, or online, and those who sent flowers. It was heartening to
learn how much he was esteemed by friends, colleagues and his listeners. We
thank also our very kind neighbours who were there for us, niece Grainne
and nephew Andrew who kept us fed, all of those who lined the street for
the removal from his home, and those who gathered outside the crematorium
to pay their respects. Thank you all.
Special thanks to Paddy Glackin and Maighréad, and Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill for
the beautiful music, Cathal Goan and Brendan Rogers for the heartfelt
eulogies, and the staff of Flanagans and Mount Jerome for their
professionalism and empathy.
Thank you to Uachtarán Michael D. Higgins and Sabina Higgins for the
beautiful message.
Our deep gratitude to all of you.
Míle, míle buíochas.
