LEADER, Dr. Irene (née O’Callaghan), Boherbue, Co. Cork. Irene died peacefully in her daughter Helen's home, surrounded by family, on 11th December 2024, the day after her 102nd birthday. She was predeceased by her beloved Leo, her sister Celeste, and her brothers Kevin and Michael. Forever remembered and deeply loved by her children Len, Helen [Molloy], Ann [Timoney], Mary [Keeling], Irene [Scanlon] and Billy, as well as her cherished grandchildren Leonard, Frank and Joyce Leader, Martin, Elmarie and Richard Molloy, James, Irene and Leonard Timoney, Francis and Elizabeth Keeling, John, Mark, Robert and Jenny Scanlon, Luka and Irene O'Callaghan Leader, and her seventeen great-grandchildren. Irene was deeply loved by her daughters-in-law Mary and Yan, her sons-in-law Kevin, Frank, Dermot and the late Séan, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbours, and many friends. Irene's funeral Mass will take place at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Boherbue on Saturday [December 14th, 2024] at 1 p.m., followed by burial in Boherbue Cemetery. Family flowers only.
