MOORHEAD - Patricia (Third Anniversary, April 30, 2022) - Remembered with love and sadly missed always by Cari, Susan, Peter, extended family and friends.

MOORHEAD - Patricia (née Hughes). Predeceased by her loving husband Peter. Member of the Accredited Genealogists of Ireland (A.G.I.). As we approach our dear Mum’s First Anniversary (April 30, 2022) we her children Cari, Susan and Peter, her daughters-in-law Karina and Charlene and beloved granddaughters Lara and Ellen, wish to express sincere thanks to our family, friends and neighbours whose kindness, support and friendship has helped us through this difficult year. Mum is survived by her sister Audrey McGarry and we would like to thank her and her family for their continued love and support. It is impossible to thank everyone we would like to mention but to those who attended the reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, her funeral Mass or watched it online, to those who travelled from all over Ireland, the UK, France and the USA, to those who sent flowers, letters, cards, messages and emails and the overwhelming number of condolences and lovely memories of Mum that were shared on RIP.ie, we thank you. It provided great comfort and we will always be so grateful to you all. We would like to thank Fr. Michael Murtagh P.P., The Church of the Holy Spirit Ballyroan for such a lovely funeral mass filled with so many memories of Mum. A special thank you to Organist Anne McNulty and Soloist Gifford Whittle for the beautiful music and singing. A special word of thanks to Mum’s childhood friends, Adrienne, Colette, Eveleen, Mary and Caitriona for their lifelong love and support. We would also like to thank her many friends in the Accredited Genealogists of Ireland, the Irish Family History Society, and her writing group The Scribblers for the many years of fun that Mum enjoyed with them all. Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. David Fanagan and staff of Fanagans Funeral Directors, for their care and professionalism at a very difficult time. To all those who made donations to The Irish Cancer Society and Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, we thank you sincerely. Finally, we wish to acknowledge our grateful thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care given to Mum by the doctors and nurses of The Beacon Hospital, The Blackrock Clinic, The Mater Private, Applewood Home Care, Tallaght University Hospital and Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Our gratitude also to those who visited Mum in her final days in the wonderful care of St.Gabriel’s Ward, Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross, especially Jean Moorhead, Paula and Val Quinn, and Ros and Audrey McGarry. It is hoped that this acknowledgement will be accepted as recognition of our deep appreciation to you all. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

When mine eyes are dim

to all around me

And some kind fingers

close these lids to rest,

Colder than the white sheet

which surrounds me,

I have a last request.

Lay on the snowy silence

just one flower,

Cut from some garden wet

with morning dew, -

The Red Rose-that

I loved in Life’s full hour-

Thus say, - Adieu!
