SKELTON Joy (née Pickett), (late of Cremore, Glasnevin and St. Canice's Parish, Finglas) - May 23, 2014. We, Joy's husband Wally, her sons David, Trevor and Andrew, her brother Alan (Melbourne) together with all the extended family wish to thank all those who sympathised and supported us on our recent huge loss. Thanks to all who sent cards, messages of condolence, letters and text messages from home and abroad and also those who attended the repose, removal and funeral services. We wish to acknowledge with gratitude the ministry of the clergy Rev. David Oxley, Rev. Elaine Dunne and Rev. Paul Bogle and especially Tony Walsh (Organist), the choir and parishioners of St. Canice's who provided such a wonderful service and indeed for all their support throughout Joy's life. We thank the management and staff of Kirwan Funeral Directors and all who made the removal and funeral so inspiring. We are eternally grateful to Dr. Nuala O'Farrell and the staff at the Cremore Clinic and to the doctors and nursing staff of the Nightingale Unit in the Blackrock Clinic, who cared for Joy during her illness and in her final days. We especially wish to thank Dr. Ilias and his team, including Imelda Keogh. Our heartfelt thanks for all the support from the officers, members and staff of The Island Golf Club, The Golfing Union of Ireland, Highfield Rugby Club, the Glasnevin Group and the Seanchara day care centre - your support and condolences are so much appreciated during this difficult time. We are indebted to all the extended groups of family and friends who travelled far and made such an effort to attend the funeral. You all brought so much needed comfort and consolation to the family. Joy gave us all a wonderful sense of well-being and enriched the lives of everybody she met through her endless goodness, selflessness and kindness. She will be so sadly missed, but treasured in our hearts forever. Please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.Love never faileth
