ROONEY, (neé Hurley), Patricia (Ballsbridge, Osborne Lodge, Kildare), on May 16, 2023, peacefully at home following a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Charles, loving and loved mother of Catherine, Eveleen and Dermot (Diarmuid), Patricia is predeceased by her sister Maura and brother Dermot, deeply regretted by her brother Brian, sister Terry, sisters-in-law Eve, Antoinette and Stephanie, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. May she rest in peace. Funeral Mass on Monday (May 22, 2023) at 10am, St. Mary's Church, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, followed by burial at Bohernabreena Cemetery. ROONEY - (nee Hurley) Patricia (wife of the late Charles) - On the first anniversary of Pat’s death (May 16, 2023), daughters Catherine, Eveleen and son Dermot (Diarmuid), daughter-in-law Kirsten wish to express their gratitude and thanks to all who sympathised with them on their recent sad loss; to all who offered condolences, sent Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy, floral tributes, all kind words and to those who visited in support, often travelling long distances to be with us. Thank you also to all who attended the funeral Mass in St Mary's, Haddington Road, in person and online and the burial in Bohernabreena Cemetery. Special thanks to our wonderful team of carers, to all the staff at Baggot Street/Sandymount Primary Care Team, and Dr Sally Meagher and team at Moe Family Practice Clonskeagh, to the nurses, doctors and staff at St Vincent's University Hospital, Elm Park and Carew House. Sincere thanks to our celebrants, Very Rev Fachtna McCarthy of St Mary's, Haddington Road, Abbot Mark Patrick OSB of Glenstal Abbey, Deacon Rev Greg Pepper also of St Mary's, Haddington Road and to all who contributed to the Mass. We sincerely thank all family, and friends for your loving support during this sad time. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
