WARD Shela - November 24, 2010 peacefully in her 102nd year, in the excellent care of the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres, Queen of Peace Centre, Rathgar, Dublin. Shela was late of the Abbey Theatre 1930s/1940s, toured with an Abbey Company and with Louis D'Alton in Ireland, with Ronald Ibbs in America and later played West End, London and BBC Radio. Her dear brother John and his wife Eileen predeceased her. Loved and sadly missed by the Sisters, staff and residents of Queen of Peace, by her god-daughter Mary Joe Moloney, Sr. Dympna and the Corkell family, by Alma (FitzGerald) Nowlan and family, friends of Shela for nearly eighty years, and by all her friends. Funeral Mass today (Saturday) at 10am in Church of the Three Patrons, Rathgar, followed by burial at St. Fintan's, Sutton.May Shela rest in peace.
