O'BRIEN, Noel, (Lyrath, Kilkenny and formerly of Kilree, Bennettsbridge) on January 4, 2024, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, after a long illness bravely borne. Beloved husband of Edel (née Corcoran) and the late Margaret (née Grace). Much loved father of Susan, Enda, Róisín, Martin and Noelie. Noel will be sadly missed by his wife and family, brothers Philly, Gerry, Patsy, Seanie and Nicky, sister Kathleen (Gaffney), sons-in-law Gary and Jeremy, daughters-in-law Marie and Emma, grandchildren Fynn, Ayda, Jack, Hazel, Evie, Liam, Jude, Hugh and Annabel, mother-in-law Rosie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and his many business colleagues. Noel is predeceased by his brother Jimmy, sister Joanie and his nephew Conor. Rest in Peace. Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) tomorrow Sunday (January 7) from 4pm to 8pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 10.30am in St. John's Church, Kilkenny. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery. House strictly private please.
