SHAW, John (Bertie) Clontarf and formerly of Mount Temple Comp. - November 28, 2014, peacefully at Beaumont Hospital after a long illness borne bravely surrounded by his loving wife Priscilla and children Derek, Gladys, Sharon, Valerie, Olive, Priscilla and Vivienne. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, sisters Kathleen and Irene, brother Stanley, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, sons-in-law, grand- children, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. House Private. Removal this Monday evening to the Church of St. John the Baptist, Seafield Road West arriving at 6pm. Funeral tomorrow, Tuesday after 11.00am Service to Glasnevin Crematorium. No flowers please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to The Mater Heart Foundation, The Mater Lung Foundation or Beaumont Hospital Foundation.

<p>Sarge</p> <p>Many memories of conversations I had with Bertie while he was adjusting to a new life. I learnt a lot from him although he was not on the teaching staff. Honesty, integrity, loyalty and dealing with adversity were among them.</p> <p>Thank you</p>
