GRACE (Pat) (Derrycastle, Ballina, Killaloe) (Died June 1, 2009) - On the First Anniversary of Pat's death, his wife Anne, daughter Emma, sons Karl and Robin together with his sisters and brother would like to thank the neighbours and friends who visited and all those who sent letters and cards of sympathy at the time of Pat's death. We would like to thank those friends and neighbours who empathised and understood when we were all confused. We would especially like to thank all those who helped to take care of Pat during his illness: Doctors Thornton, Ryan and Lynch; the Matron and staff of the Lakelands Nursing Home, Killaloe, and all the professionals and volunteers associated with the Lakelands where Pat spent the last two and a half years of his life. We would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Alzheimer's Day Care Centre in Garryowen, Limerick; the staff at the Manor Nursing Home Nenagh, and at the Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles for their respite services. May McInerney and staff in the Nursing Home Unit in the HSE made the paperwork easy - thank you. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses in Nenagh Hospital who cared for Pat in his last hours. Mr Phil Ryan, Undertaker, did his job in a most sympathetic and professional manner. Last but not least we would like to thank Limerick FC and the FAI for commemorating Pat at their matches. We regret that all those who wished to pay their last respects did not get the opportunity to do so, but it was important for the family to carry out Pat's express wishes. As it would be impossible to thank everybody in person we hope that this acknowledgement will suffice to show our appreciation.
