LYONS, George P., F.R.C.S.,F.R.C.S.I., formerly of Ilnacullen, Clahane, Ballyard and Denny St., Tralee and Tuam, Co. Galway, peacefully on February 12, 2019 in the loving care of all the team in Belmont House, Dublin, beloved husband of the late Fin (née Comer) and cherished father of Mary (O’Sullivan), Jimmy, Fionnuala (O’Shea), Gráinne (McDermott) and John. Sadly missed by his loving family, his sisters Mary and Eleanor, sons and daughter-in-law Seán, Ríona, Donal, Brian and Avril and devoted friends Mary and Teddy Kerins and family, his many grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, countless friends and the Sisters of the Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee. Reposing at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee tomorrow (Thursday) from 4.15 to 6.15 pm with removal to St. John’s Church. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon with interment afterwards in Rath Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired to the Alzheimers Society of Ireland, care of the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee.
