GARVEY (née O'Brien) (Ballinteer and late of Knocklyon and Kilroe, Co. Cork) - February 13, 2016 (peacefully, after a short illness) at Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross, Lily, beloved wife of John (Gibson) and dear mother of Donal, Tommy, Niamh and Peter; very sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, their father Donal, brothers Billy and Dermy, Niamh's partner Colm, daughters-in-law Jenny, Kit and Laura, sisters-in-law, John's children Carolyn and Ewan, their spouses Joel and Miriam, her twelve grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Removal today, Monday to the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Ballinteer, arriving for 6pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow, Tuesday at 11am with cremation immediately afterwards in Mount Jerome Crematorium. No flowers please. Donations in lieu to Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross.May she Rest In Peace.

On this, the First Anniversary of Lily's passing, her husband John (Gibson), her sons and daughter, Donal, Tommy, Niamh and Peter, daughters-in-law Jenny, Kit and Laura, Niamh's partner Colm, and John's children Carolyn and Ewan, her grandchildren and extended family would like to thank all those who expressed their sympathy, attended the removal, the funeral, sent cards and messages, gave assistance during our bereavement for their kindness, support and prayers. We give special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Beacon Hospital and Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross for their dedication and care for Lily in her final weeks. To Fr. Liam Belton, the funeral organisers at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Ballinteer, and Rev. Chris Kennedy of Dun Laoghaire Presbyterian Church, we thank you for your assistance, support and words of comfort. We also thank those who generously gave to Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross.The Lord bless thee,
