BYRNE, (née McCowen) Betty (Rathfarnham and late of Portarlington, Co. Laois ) – September 16, 2022, peacefully at Orwell Private, Rathgar. Adored mother of Alan, Peter and Lorna. Sadly missed by her children, grandchildren Daragh, Mia, Evan, Laura and Alex, great grandchild Ollie, daughter-in-law Nicola, son-in-law Terry, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 10.00am in the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Rest in Peace.

BYRNE - (nee McCowen), Betty (Rathfarnham and formerly Portarlington). On this, her first anniversary, Betty’s children Alan, Peter and Lorna and their extended family wish to sincerely thank all who sympathised with them on the sad loss of their wonderful Mum. We would particularly like to thank the team of amazing carers who supported Betty in her home during her last years and also Orwell House who provided excellent care to Mum in her final weeks. Our grateful thanks also to her lifelong friends who provided friendship and support over the years and were on hand to support Betty and her family in the final weeks. Thanks also to Father Michael Cody who celebrated Mum's requiem Mass and to those who attended the funeral service or sent letters and Mass cards, as your kindness and support provided great comfort at such a sad time. We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our heartfelt gratitude.
