I just read about Joan's inspiring life. RIP, Joan, life was hard on you but you had courage enough to face it. Condolences to the Salmon family.

What an inspiration. How courageous

The committee and members of Brook Lodge Riding Club wish to express their condolences and deepest sympathy at the sad news of Joan's passing.

Joan was a great inspiration to all our members over the years and her courage in the face of adversity and life's sometimes cruel lot was awesome.

We remember especially her courage and determination, when she attended and competed in the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000.

We also remember her cheerful presence at all of the horse events in South Dublin and Brook Lodge Livery Yard in Burrow Road, Kilternan and Stepaside, with her faithful friends, her callers and her constant companion guide dog.

May God the almighty hold Joan in the palm of his hand.

Requiescat in Pace

Edward Garry, Chairman and Treasurer, Brook Lodge Riding Club

Rest in Peace Joan

Joan was such a true fighter. It was almost like someone was kicking her down and testing her all through her life, and she never stayed down, always got up. And got up stronger than before. She out of anyone I know, had every reason to feel sorry for herself. But she didn't. She knew early on, feeling sorry for herself would only get in her way of living her life. She made more out of her life then the most healthiest of people. I will always admire her, and be inspired by her and continue to tell her story. God Bless all of you and I pray God will you give you the strength to get through this sad sad time in your lives. Love to all of you, Mary Ann, Walter, Jon and Rita Walsh.
