BRENNAN Bella (Meenacross, Dungloe, Co Donegal) (March 31, 2012) - On the eve of Bella's First Anniversary, her daughter Kathleen, brother Connie, son-in-law Laurence and family, wish to acknowledge and express our warmest appreciation to the very many people who sympathised with us at the time of our sad loss. We thank most sincerely all those who attended the removal, sent Mass Cards, letters and messages of sympathy, those who attended the wake at home, and braved the elements to be present at the funeral Mass and burial, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us. A special word of thanks for all donations made to the Patients' Comfort Fund in Dungloe Hospital. We gratefully acknowledge the kindness and generosity of our extended family, neighbours and friends who helped and supported us in so many ways and continue to do so, especially Kathleen Ward for her indefatigable support during Bella's final illness. Our grateful thanks to Fr John Joe Duffy who arranged and celebrated requiem Mass, to Fr Meehan and Fr Butler who concelebrated, and to everyone who participated. We thank the Mass servers, Caitríona and the choir for their beautiful music and singing. We extend our deep gratitude to Fr John Joe for his prayers and his friendship over the years. We thank Fr. Meehan for his kindness to Bella while she was in hospital. We express our thanks to the Public Health Nurse, to the nurses and staff in the District Hospital who cared for Bella, and for us, with such compassion during her last days. We would particularly like to thank Dr Peter Sweeney for the wonderful and unstinting care he provided to Bella for over forty years and especially during her final months and weeks. We are most grateful to you all and offer this Acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Bella's Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Sunday March 31, (Easter Sunday) in St. Patrick's Church, Meenacross.
