GAVIN, Liam (Commandant Retired) (Athenry and formerly of Dalton Place, Salthill, Galway) - On August 28, 2021, after a short illness, but peacefully in the presence of his loving family. Beloved husband of Marie and father of Síofra, Shane, Ronan and Liam; sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, daughter, sons, brother Seamus, grandchildren Deane, Siún, Ella, Conor, Abbie and Kian, son-in-law Seán, daughters-in-law Anita, Tracy and Rachel, sister-in-law Mary, nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Stroke Unit, NUH Galway, for their care and compassion during Liam's illness. Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, 31 August at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill, followed by a private cremation. Family flowers only, please.
