It was with great sadness I learned of Eddie's death, some time after he had passed away. He was a lovely, kind, gentle humorous man who had me in stitches many times with tales of his younger exploits. I will be forever in his debt for a voluntary, unasked for medical intervention he made on my behalf in 1976 which almost certainly saved the sight in one, if not both, my eyes. My sincere condolences to Geraldine and his children.
