FEELEY, Martin, 21st December 2023. (Dublin, formerly of St Johns Roscommon. Stalwart of Tallaght University Hospital and University College Dublin Boat Club) - Beloved husband of Colleen, father to his proud children Tara, Iain, Emmett and Aoife. Dear brother to Willie, Maura, Jacinta, Benedicta, Hugh and Anita. Favourite father-in-law to Dermot and Eibhlin. Understatedly devoted grandfather to Lucian, Auberon, Jeremiah and Saileog. Deeply regretted by his brothers and sisters-in-law. Relentless in his pursuit of excellence across all facets of his career and passions, unyielding in defence of his beliefs. Martin was known for his unparalleled principles, integrity and honesty. A gentleman who gave it his all, he will be remembered as an exemplary surgeon, colleague, advocate, mentor, athlete, coach and friend. A man who leaves an incredible legacy. He was a gift to us all. Reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, Templeogue Village (D6W AC82), tomorrow afternoon (Thursday 28th December) between 3pm - 5pm. Funeral Mass on Friday 29th December in Church of The Three Patrons, Rathgar at 11am, followed by Cremation in Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium. House private. No flowers, please. All enquiries to Massey Bros., Templeogue on (01) 490 7601. "I'm older now but still running against the wind"
FEELEY - Martin, Rathgar and Roscommon, December 21, 2023.
On the occasion of the first anniversary of his death, Colleen, Tara, Iain, Emmett, Aoife and extended family wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to all who joined us in celebrating Martin's life and achievements. The kindness of friends and neighbours who provided emotional and practical support was invaluable at that very difficult time. The wonderful tributes paid on RIP.ie were especially heartwarming. We would like to acknowledge the long distances travelled by so many to attend the removal and funeral, and the enormous number of Mass cards and letters we received. It has been a great comfort to know that Martin's generosity of spirit, sense of humour, many talents, and work ethic left such a lasting impression on those he met along the way. Thank you to the UCD rowing community who helped make Martin's funeral so special. We are thankful for the support of his colleagues in healthcare, and his friends from the Grange Golf Club. We are eternally grateful to the emergency services, Fr. Andrew in the Church of the Three Patrons, and Mary from Massey Bros.
Ad Astra.
