DOYLE - Carmel (née Costello ) (Templeogue) On the occasion of Carmel’s seventy-fourth birthday today, her husband Alan, daughters Fina and Gilly together with her son-in-law Paul, and treasured grandchildren Sam, Daniel and Juliet, would like to thank all those who showed kindness to us since Carmel’s death on April 3. We are very grateful to our neighbours and community who gathered outside Carmel’s home and bid farewell on the roadside, and to our friends and family who attended the mass outside, or viewed online. We would also like to thank those who phoned, sent messages, Mass cards, letters and thoughtful gifts. A special word of thanks to Prof. David Bradley who cared for Carmel so expertly and compassionately over the last number of years. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to some excellent nurses, Donna Mills from the community team at St. James’s and also Jinu Matthew and Clare McDermott from the community palliative team at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, all of whom will forever have a special place in our hearts. We would also like to thank GP Dr. Catherine Houlihan who was very generous with her availability to us. We are also deeply appreciative of Cormac and the team in Spooner’s Careplus Pharmacy for their excellent care and attention. We are also grateful to our public health nurses Orla McGreal and Linda Murtagh for their timely and caring response to us in the weeks before Carmel died. We would also like to thank our parish priest Fr. Brendan Madden for his time and consideration and for the beautiful funeral Mass. Special thanks also to Stella Bass who sang so beautifully and helped give Carmel a good send off. We would also like to thank Joe Cronin for his particular kindness, and also Mary Cuniffe and Dermot Laide from Massey Bros. Templeogue for their excellent care at a very difficult time. Carmel our dear wife, Mam, “nonee” and friend is loved and remembered every day and is always in our hearts. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude.
