Wicklow and formerly of the Irish Times) - April 18, 2013, (suddenly), at home, beloved son of the late Denis and Laura Butler, dear brother of Andrea, uncle of Annika and Julian, granduncle of Torin; he will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Patrick, Zoe, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place privately. John's family invite you to join them to celebrate John's life at the Druid's Glen Hotel, Newtownmountkennedy tomorrow (Wednesday) at 12.30 o'clock No flowers, please. Donations in memory of John to the Simon Community.</p>

I was troubled by John not returning messages a few years back and had just recently discovered his passing.We were very close friends though only through corresponden​ce.​He was a caring,​intelligent person.I miss him.Sending thoughts.
