Mc GIRL, Desmond, Ph.D. (Trinity College, Dublin), Senior Technical Director at Newfield Wireless, suddenly at his home in Berkeley, California on July 7, 2014. Beloved husband of Amy, father of Oisin born on July 10, 2014, cherished son of Maura and the late Patrick Mc Girl, Sacre Coeur, Charleville Road, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, special brother to Geraldine, Patrick and Patricia, treasured brother-in-law to Rafiq, Marti, Tania and Jill, dearly loved nephew of Patricia Brennan and uncle to Karen, Elizabeth, Joseph Marteinnson and Luca Mc Girl and father-in-law Frank. Too soon to leave, greatly loved and profoundly missed by all his family, cousins and friends. A Mass to celebrate Desmond's life will be held at The Church of the Assumption, Tullamore, Co. Offaly on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 11.30am.
