BALFE - (née Hogan) Eileen, Dun Laoghaire, on Saturday May 16th, passed away peacefully in the arms of her family, in Annabeg Nursing Home where she was cared for with such compassion and kindness. Eileen was greatly loved and is sadly missed by her loving family; her husband Brendan, her daughter Ellie, son John, her beloved granddaughters, Lulu and Anna, her brother and six remaining sisters, as well as her extended family and friends. Funeral Mass today (Wednesday) at 10am in the Church of Our Lady of Victories, Sallynoggin followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. Should you wish to donate in her honour, two charities that are close to our family's hearts are The Irish Cancer Society and The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland.

Let us not look for you only in memory, Where we would grow lonely without you. You would want us to find you in presence, Beside us when beauty brightens, When kindness glows And music echoes eternal tones.

When orchids brighten the earth, Darkest winter has turned to spring; May this dark grief flower with hope

In every heart that loves you.
