KENNEALLY - Derek Newtowndarver County Louth and formerly Clondalkin - On the First Anniversary of Derek’s death, Stephanie, Lucy and Grace together with our extended families, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them at the time of Derek’s death and for their unwavering support to us. Thank you to everyone who wrote letters, sent Mass cards and messages of support on RIP.ie, telephoned and visited us. Derek was cared for with such professionalism and kindness by the staff of St. James’ Hospital, in particular Doctors Evelyn Conneally, Catherine Flynn and Larry Bacon; the staff of Day Oncology and the Hollywood Ward and Lorraine Brennan and Carmel Ann Galligan whose kindness and practical help were invaluable. We are forever grateful to Doctor John and Teresa Whately and Doctor Paul and Criona O’Reilly. In particular we were humbled by the loving care shown to Derek by the North Louth Hospice Association. To Father Pat McEnroe PP in Darver whose support is constant and to Rosemary Rogers and the staff of McGeoughs Funerals who guided us through that difficult time with sensitivity and grace. To our friends, family and Derek’s colleagues in the Law Library who have been so supportive, we are grateful. Remember Derek’s courage as he faced his final illness and his kind and gentle soul. May he rest in peace.
