O'MOORE, Kathryn (Brookfield Court, Dublin 6) - 5th May 2020 peacefully after a long illness, in the care of the staff at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital; beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine O’Moore. She will be sadly missed by her brother Brian, sister-in-law Deirdre, her nephews and niece the adored Tom, her roomie Eleanor and her hero Garrett, her aunts Dolores and Eithne, her cousins and her wide circle of friends. Rest in peace. Due to restrictions at this time a private family funeral is taking place. For those who would like to follow the Funeral Mass on webcam, please see link on Beechwood Avenue Church website on Friday 8th May at 11.00am. When the current restrictions are lifted, there will be a Memorial Service for Kathryn followed by the interring of her ashes.
O'MOORE - Kathryn (Rathmines, Dublin). On her first anniversary Brian, Deirdre, Tom, Eleanor and Garrett would like to thank all those who were so good to us a year ago. Kathryn was diagnosed with cancer in 2013. The uplifting treatment she received from the team at St Vincent’s Hospital allowed her to live an amazing life for the next seven years. She travelled the world in style and, it must be said, in comfort. When not abroad, she met us every day and was a huge part of the lives of her niece and nephews. Kathryn’s legacy to us all is her great courage in the face of her illness, and ability to enjoy with gusto the time she had. We are very grateful for the messages of sympathy we received. It was marvelous to hear stories of her life from so many of her friends, especially since we could not meet to say goodbye. Thanks also to Jody Fanagan, who was so professional in organising Kathryn’s funeral; to Fr Paul of Beechwood Parish; to all who attended outside the church; and to those who contacted us to mark her first anniversary. We will always remember the many happy days with Kathryn.
