FURNEY, (Howth Summit, Co. Dublin and formerly of Durrow, Co. Laois) - March 2 2024, Mervyn John, peacefully in his 90th year in the loving care of Brabazon Nursing Home, Sandymount; loving husband of Cheryl. Beloved husband of the late Aileen and much loved Dad of Simon and Penny. Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Michelle, son-in-law David, grandchildren James, Tom, Oona, Michael, Ruairi and Cuan. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews including Alison, Deirdre, Damian, Sandra, William, Yvonne, Suzanne, Lorraine and Laura, his stepchildren Victoria (Hamish) and Louisa (Neil) and step-grandchildren Jake, Marnie, Loren, Frank and Felix, his extended family and wide circle of friends. Predeceased by his brothers Billy and Trevor. At peace. Many thanks to Hugh St Leger, Usha Sundar and the wonderful staff at Brabazon Nursing Home. Funeral Service tomorrow (Thursday) at 11 o’clock in St. Mary’s Church, Deerpark, Howth. Burial the following day (Friday) at 12 o’clock in Killermogh Church, Ballacolla, Co. Laois.
