Deepest sympathies

Ar dheis de go raibh a anam

He used to drive us to school when I was in third form – Paul and James Boylan slagging me all the way and Paul senior would defend me when it got too rough. Somehow I remember he managed to fit Paul, David, Ben, Sara, James, Baz Healy and me in a Renault 16. A lovely man who kept us entertained with quizzes and “the game”… three points for a letterbox, four for a trough, and the prized 100 for a white horse… And of course without him our house would have neither attic extension nor conservatory.
