A message from Hornchurch, Essex

I am a Locum Veterinary Surgeon. I was the replacement vet who worked in Aogan's branch practice in Hornchurch, Essex for 4 weeks after his death. I never met him, but I know from working in his consulting room that he was a very dedicated and kind veterinary surgeon.

All of the clients who asked after him were so very upset to hear of his death. One particular lovely lady from Galway, whose little dog had been treated by Aogan, was very upset. She said that he was so gentle, kind and quiet and that she completely trusted him and his treatment of her dog. I know that she would like to pass on her condolences to the family.

I feel so sad for Aogan and his family. This may not be the appropriate place for such a detailed massege but I do not know how else to express my sadness. And I wanted to say somewhere that I know from working in this room that he was an excellent and very kind veterinary surgeon and that he took pride in his work.

Sorcha Wheatley, MVB, MRCVS

Sympathies

Dear Tansey family,

I am shocked and saddened to hear this news. Aogán was a classmate of mine in Ballsbridge and we were on rotations together in final year. We shampooed a wild filly in the stable yard together on one memorable day and laughed and swore freely as she skedaddled and whirled around, shedding froth everywhere. I recall his sharp wit and have often thought of him in the intervening years. My sympathies to you all at this very sad time.

Ar dheis Dé a raibh a anam.
