KELLY - Jim (March 17, 2022). On this the First Anniversary of Jim’s death, Anne, Orla and Ciara together with Jim’s siblings Michael, Peter, Stephen and Bernie, would like to thank everyone for the kindness and support offered to us over the past year following the tragic loss of Jim. The many phone calls, cards, letters, messages, tweets, flowers and care packages were much appreciated and provided comfort to us. A special thank you to Jim’s colleague and friend Brian Flynn who together with his wife Katka and family provided immense support. Many thanks to all at the Department of Foreign Affairs for your support at the time of Jim’s death and since. Special thanks to all Jim’s colleagues and friends at the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the UN in New York, all at the Embassy of Ireland in Canada and the Honorary Consul in Toronto for organising condolence books and respective memorials for Jim in both New York and Toronto. We would like to offer thanks to our friend Austin Comerton in Ottawa who organised a lovely podcast tribute to Jim on Irish Radio Canada, March 20, of last year. A big thank you to Tony and Michael Carey for organising and executing the beautiful music for Jim’s mass. Thank you Fanagans for the professionalism, warmth and dignity with which you handled Jim’s arrival at Dublin Airport and the funeral. To those who offered condolences in person, followed the service online or merely thought of Jim and us on the day and since, we thank you. Jim, you are dearly loved and forever missed by your three girls, siblings, extended family and many, many friends around the world. Rest In Peace dear Jim.
