McDONNELL - Joseph (Joe), Ennis, Co. Clare and formerly of Limerick.
February 23, 2026, peacefully at the Bon Secours Hospital, Galway. Dear husband of Joan for 65 years. He will be missed greatly by his children Karen, Ross, Kevin, and Blue, his daughters-in-law Maria and Sandra, grandchildren Leah and Kayla, their partners John and Eoin, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.
Joe lived a marvellous life and was fortunate in his friends and colleagues at Sheils of Ennis, the University of Galway, and Shannon College of Hotel Management.
Reposing at Kennedys Funeral Home, Cabeys Lane, Parnell Street, Ennis tomorrow Thursday evening (26th February) from 5pm to 6.30pm followed by removal to SS Peter and Paul Cathedral. Requiem Mass on Friday (27th February) at 10am with burial afterwards in Mount St. Lawrence Extension Cemetery Limerick. House private. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, at Joe's request, to Médecins Sans Frontières. At Joes request please wear bright colours when attending the funeral.
