SIMONS, Anne (née Carolan), (Blackrock, Co. Dublin) January 20, 2017, (peacefully, after a long illness), surrounded by her husband and six sons, and in the loving care of the staff at Ferndene Nursing Home, Blackrock. Anne will be sadly missed by her devoted husband of sixty years, Frank, her adoring sons, Peter, David, Hugh, Mark, Garrett and Francis, their wives and partners, Susan, Bridget, Christina, Austin and Carina, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the extended family and friends. May she Rest in Peace. Reposing at her family home today (Monday), January 23 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) January 24 at 10 o'c in Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock, afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only.

<p>Your sad loss</p> <p>Frank, it's me, Eamonn Kilmartin. I don't check Irish obits very much but was sorry to see this. We had dinner together with Ann at a DMP Christmas party back in 1974. Quite a night.</p> <p>I also see that our old buddies, Tom Walshe and Jim Barrett have passed on. Quite shocking..</p> <p>Hope you are still around and coping.
