BYRNE Angela R. (née McMahon) (peacefully), on June 8, 2011, at her home in Montréal, aged 86 full years. A loving wife and mother, doting grandmother, caring great-grandmother - a vivacious woman with tremendous character and determination. Predeceased by her dear husband of 57 years, Francis X. Byrne, and her sisters Betty and Doris, all of Dublin, Ireland (R.I.P). She leaves to mourn her children Alan (Karen), Doris, Rory (Suzanne) and Fionnuala (Peter) and grandchildren Camilla (Michael), Karl, Conor, Siobhan, Lise (Brian), Deirdre (Jeffrey), Conor, Simone and Pierce and great-grandchildren Mia, Colin, Lila and Ellie and, in Ireland, her sister Patricia and her late husband's many relatives, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Angela believed life was an adventure, to be lived in a generous, positive and spirited fashion, always with laughter. Forever a Dubliner at heart, she will return there to rest with her beloved husband. Sincere thanks to long standing friend Dr. Mark Roper for his assistance with home palliative care. It made the journey she accepted more comforting. A Memorial Service will take place on June 25, 2011 (10.30 a.m.) at the Mont Royal Chapel, Mount Royal Funeral Complex (1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, 514-279-6540 - www.mountroyalcem.com), to be followed by a celebration of Angela's life at her home in Montréal on Saturday, June 25, 2011 (noon). In lieu of flowers, donations to Le Bon Dieu dans la Rue (youth education - www.danslarue.org) or to the charity of your choice would be most appreciated.
