DALY, SMA, Rev Fr Fintan, Society of African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork (late Poppyhill, Killoran, Ballinasloe, Co Galway), on 22nd February 2023, peacefully at St Theresa’s Nursing Unit, African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork. Predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Mary (née Murphy), brothers Tom Joe and Oliver. Deeply regretted by his sisters Cepta, Ita (Goggins), Maeve (Fitzgerald), Philomena (Hernandez), Chrissie, Frances (Carty), Carmel, his brother Sonny, sister-in-law Mary Daly, brother-in-law Jimmy Carty, his Aunt Una Murphy, nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours, the people of the Archdiocese of Ibadan, Nigeria, and his confreres in the Society of African Missions. Reposing in the African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork, from 5pm to 7pm, Monday, 27th February. Removal to St Joseph’s SMA Church, Wilton, Cork, at 11am on Tuesday, 28th February, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in the community cemetery. Due to Covid, those attending the funeral are respectfully asked to adhere to all social distancing and sanitising guidelines, wear a face covering and avoid shaking hands.
