Áine Tubridy RIP

What sad news. Condolences to all who knew and loved her. Áine was like a breath of fresh air to the profession. Her book will continue to be read and appreciated by many people. Her wonderful personality will llive on in the people that she touched.

Lasting Legacy

So strange and sad to hear of Aine's early death. My heart goes out to Dot, her brave mother, from whom she learned so much. And to her adult children, old enough to know what they have lost, young enough to recover and to choose how they might bring her life and purpose into theirs.

Growing up with Aine as I did nothing really signalled the marvellous, maverick woman she became - beyond a certain steeliness when challenged about something that she knew to be right. Her intelligence and integrity have moved mountains since then, and the remarks in this book and at her funeral service today bear witness to the achievements of her lifetime and the scale of loss in her death. With love to her family from Ruth and the McCarthy family

Sympathies

The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Institute of Ireland would like to extend the sympathies of both staff and students to the family of Aine Tubridy. We were fortunate enough to have Aine deliver two conferences in recent years, both of which were of exceptional value and very well received. Her expertise will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with her family at this time, and we hope they are comforted by the knowledge that Aine helped so many others with her words and deeds.

With heartfelt sorrow!

Aine led a heartfelt revolution in the 'mental health' system. The light she and Dr Michael Corry lit will not be quenched. It will get much stronger and will brighten the dark world of bio-psychiatry. Many more people will become aware that depression is indeed an emotion not a disease! I am glad our paths crossed. Sadly it was only for a short time.
