CAHALIN Maureen (née Carney), (Mount Merrion). Died July 22, 2017. On the occasion of Mum's First Anniversary, we, her children, Helen, Maeve, Gerard, Brian, and Eimear, together with her sister Rita and all the extended family, wish to express our sincere gratitude for the wonderful support and kindness shown to us all over the past year, and we remember also at this time her brother PJ, who died in January. We would like to thank those who called to the house, attended the funeral, wrote to us, travelled long distances to be with us, and who comforted us in so many ways. Your support was, and is, a great comfort to us and a great tribute to Mum, who is greatly missed by us all. Particular thanks are due to her GPs, Dr. Deirdre Reynolds and Dr. Paddy Feeney and their staff who looked after Mum so well for so many years; the magnificent team of carers who helped us to have Mum stay at home for a long as possible; and the staff at St. Joseph's Crinken who looked after her so well in her final few months. We will never forget the exceptional end-of-life care Mum received from the staff at St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown. In particular we thank Fr. Patrick McGlanaghy and Loretto, whose compassion and tenderness was beyond compare and provided comfort not just to Mum but to all of us. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deep appreciation of your support. Síochán síoraí.
