McMAHON, Joe (Gortatleva, Bushypark, Galway, (H91RYP6) and formerly of Mc Mahon’s Bar, Patrick Street, Limerick) - May 8, 2024 peacefully at home with his dearly loved family by his side. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Jeremiah, his infant son, Joseph, and his sister, Helen Devereux. Deeply mourned by his wife and best friend Bridie, sons Ivan and Richard, daughters-in-law Molly and Catriona, much loved grandchildren Robert and Gregory and Claire Bridget and Kristin, brothers Michael and Jerry, the extended Mc Mahon and Scanlan family, neighbours, friends and colleagues at University of Galway. Reposing at home today (Monday) May 13 from 4.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Removal tomorrow (Tuesday) May 14 to St. James’ Church, Bushy Park. Requiem Mass on arrival at 11 a.m. Following Mass Joe will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. This Mass will not be live-streamed. No flowers please, memorial donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society and/or the Galway Hospice.
