HIGGINS (Sligo) - April 13, 2012, (peacefully) after a short illness at Sligo General Hospital. Thomas, (Tommy) (82 Treacy Avenue), Freeman of the Borough, and former mayor of Sligo, former member of Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council and former branch secretary of the ITGWU. Beloved husband of the late Teresa and dear father of Marie, Gerry, Adrienne, Thomas, Brian and Ann and the late Anthony and Martin. Sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Kathleen, brother Paddy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. Rest in peace. Reposing at the Foley & Mc Gowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo this evening (Saturday) from 5.00 o'c to 7.30 o'clock Reposing at his home tomorrow (Sunday) with removal at 7-30 o'c to Sligo Cathedral arriving at 8.00 o'clock Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30 o'c on Monday followed by interment in Sligo Cemetery afterwards.
