WEST Professor Trevor (B.A., Ph.D. (CANTAB), M.R.I.A., S.F.T.C.D., former Senator (Charleston, Ballinacurra, Co. Cork and Trinity College, Dublin) October 30, 2012 (peacefully) - Much loved husband of Maura Lee, deeply regretted also by his brothers, John and Brian, sisters-in-law, Cecily and Lynda, his stepson Ian and his wife Susanna, his nephews and nieces Michael, Christine, Kerry, Katharine, Eoin and Aoife and a wide circle of friends in Trinity, Midleton College and the world of sport. Funeral Service on Saturday, November 3, at St. Finbarr's Cathedral, Cork at 1.00 pm. Burial afterwards in St. John the Baptist Church Yard Midleton. Family flowers only. At Rest

<p>Former postgraduate student</p> <p>Trevor had been my MSc supervisor in the early 70's and has been a life long inspiration to me both on a personal and an academic level.</p> <p>On a personal level, coming as I did from undergraduate studies at UCD, his openness and willingness to treat his students as equals was startlingly refreshing.</p> <p>On an academic level, his intuitive grasp of a mathematical argument allied with his intellectual rigour, was wonderful to witness.</p> <p>Thank you Trevor!</p>
