BUTTERLY, James (Jim) (Walkinstown, Dublin 12 and formerly of Telecom Eireann) - September 14, 2018, (peacefully) after a long illness bravely fought, in the excellent care of the staff of HASU and the George Frideric Handel Ward, St. James’s Hospital; beloved husband of the late Peggy and loving dad of Margaret and George. Sadly missed by his loving daughter, son, grandchildren James and Ryan, sisters Breda and Patricia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace. Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Tuesday from 10am to 5pm. Removal on Tuesday evening to St. Agnes’s Church, Crumlin Village arriving at 5.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am and afterwards for burial in Newlands Cross Cemetery. House Private Please.
BUTTERLY, James (Jim), (Walkinstown, Dublin 12), died September 14, 2018. Remembering also his wife Margaret (Peggy), whose Twelfth Anniversary occurs around this time. On this the First Anniversary of Jim's death his daughter Margaret wishes to express sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who sympathised, sent Mass cards and letters of support. To all the relatives, friends and neighbours who attended the removal and funeral thank you. Particular thanks to Dr. Moya Cunningham SLRON and Mr. Sean O'Neill Vascular Surgeon for giving me an extra few years with my father, also to the staff in HASU and George Frideric Handel Ward, Professor Harbison and his team and the Palliative Care Team in St. James's Hospital for their care during the last weeks of my father's life and Dr. Fred Shackleton. Special thanks to my father's sister, my aunt Patricia for staying in the hospital with Dad and myself during the last few days. To Michelle and Sandra and all at Walkinstown Social Centre for their kindness to my father. Thank you to my friends for thinking of my father and enquiring after him, I always appreciated it. To Mr. Michael Farrell dear friend of my parents and me for his friendship and kindness.
