BEHAN (née Nelson) (Ballymun Road and late of City Quay) - September 14, 2018, peacefully at Beneavin House Nursing Home, Kathleen, beloved wife of the late Michael, and loving mother to Gerard, Michael, Donal and the late Sean; Kathleen will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law, grand children, sisters Clare, Marie and Alice, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing at The Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Sunday with family in attendance from 3pm until 6pm. Funeral on Monday after 10 o'clock Mass in Our Lady of Victories Church, Ballymun Road to Glasnevin Cemetery.May she rest in peace.
BEHAN Kathleen (nèe Nelson) Ballymun Road. Died 14th September 2018. Loving wife of the late Michael, and mother of the late Sean. Lovingly remembered today on this the first anniversary of her death by her sons Gerard, Michael and Donal, her sisters Clare, Marie and Alice, her grandchildren Alison, Eoin, Sinead, Niall, Deirdre, Louise and Rory; her daughters-in-law Aileen, Miriam and Maura, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special word of thanks to Bishop Fintan Gavin who said the prayers at the funeral home and who also celebrated her Requiem Mass together with Fr. Pat Shiel, Fr. Eugene Curran and Fr. Joe McCann who concelebrated with him at Our Lady of Victories Parish Church, Ballymun Road. A special thanks to Catherine and the Choir for the lovely singing. Grateful thanks to the staff at the Social Welfare Appeals Office, to the priests and staff at St. Pauls College, Raheny, to the Management and staff at Loreto College Swords, and to An Garda Síochána, Cabra Garda Station, and Aras An Uachtarain. Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Beneavin House Nursing Home who looked after Kathleen so well and to all who attended the Funeral Home and Mass, and to those who contacted in person, sent letters, Mass cards, and floral tributes. A special word of thanks to her friends Monica Smyth and Maureen Peake, to her cousin Joe and Godson Bill who kept her going in letter writing. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
