NEWMAN OP, Sr. Lelia (Céline), formerly of Dominican Convent, Falls Road Belfast BT126AD, and of Kenagh Co. Longford, in the loving care of the staff and Dominican Community at Santa Sabina House, Cabra, Dublin, on 19th April 2025. Much loved and deeply regretted by her Dominican sisters, her sister Kathleen Cooney, nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, great-grand niece, sister-in-law Lucy, cousin Philomena Fyffe and family circle. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Peter and Bridie Newman, and siblings, Sr. Philomena, R.S.M., Patrick, Nuala, Fr. Denis S.P.S., Fr. Peter, C.S.Sp., and brother-in-law Michael Cooney. Her Requiem Mass will take place today (Thursday 24th April, 2025) at 10 o’c in the Dominican Church, Cabra Campus, Dublin D07 Y2E7, followed by burial in adjacent cemetery. May Sr. Lelia rest in peace and arise in glory.
