McCARTHY, John James (JJ in Oughterard and Galway; Terenure, Dublin 6W), dearly loved husband of Mary Cahill, and son of the late Mary Frances and Paddy McCarthy, on April 19, 2023, in the gentle care of Our Lady’s Hospice, Dublin, after a short and devastating illness very bravely borne. John will be much missed by his wife, Mary, his family and his friends in Galway, Dublin and Cashel, Co. Tipperary. Rest in Peace. Reposing at his home tomorrow (Tuesday) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. John’s funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, April 26 at 11.30am in the Church of St Pius X, College Drive, Dublin 6W, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W. To acknowledge the roles of Our Lady’s Hospice and St James’s Hospital in caring for John, donations instead of flowers would be very much appreciated. Ojalá estuviera en Sevilla.
