SHEEHY, Tim, December 13, 2015 - It's Tim's First Anniversary and Dermot, Morgan, Liz and Barbara, and the extended Sheehy family, remember with love and pride a truly outstanding individual. He faced his final year with dignity, courage, humour and the energy to not only manage a full diary but also aggressively fundraise for a cure for Motor Neurone Disease. Our sincere thanks go to Professor Orla Hardiman, Bernie Corr, and the splendid MND team at Beaumont Hospital, the Day Hospice and Palliative Care professionals at Our Lady's Hospice, Blackrock, the public health nurses, Jim Foody, John Fogarty and the other carers who gave Tim such exceptional assistance, encouragement and hope. We also remember fondly the many friends and colleagues who regularly visited with Tim, brought him to social functions, performances and meals, and prayed for him and with him .... Fr. Bruce Bradley, Marius and Ann Gallagher, Fergus Byrne, Donal Browning, Paddy and Keyna McEvoy, Donal O'Flynn, Kevin McGoran, the two PJs, Paddy Campbell, Sir Alex Ferguson and particularly Luis Silva. Tim co-founded Ergo with his friend John Purdy, and he had immense support from the Ergo team. The family is extremely grateful and very pleased to know that Ergo has created a scholarship fund in Tim's name. There are many organisations which Tim was associated with over the years. He particularly enjoyed, and we are very thankful for, the recognition given to him by the Belvedere College Union, the Lords Taverners, the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes and Balbriggan Golf Club. We would also like to acknowledge the support, visits, messages and best wishes from members of the Stephen's Green Hibernian Club, YMCA Cricket Club, Old Belvedere Rugby Club, The Strollers, the Christmas Day Dinner group, the Ballsbridge Breakfast Club, the TFH Club and the Daughters of Charity. A special thanks to Belvedere College and its pupils, staff, management and congregation that Tim loved and supported for over 60 of his 73 years. Particular thanks to the Rector, Fr. Derek Cassidy, for officiating at that most memorable funeral Mass for Tim, as well as to Bishop Eamonn Walsh, Fr. Provincial, Fr. John Brickley and the other members of the Belvedere Community; to Headmaster Gerry Foley for his excellently chosen and expertly delivered words as well as to Padraig Swan, Mark Fitzgerald and Simon Wilson for the special part they played. Thanks also to Conor Gannon and the Belvedere Chamber Choir for the outstandingly beautiful music, and to the boys of Belvedere College for their much appreciated Guard of Honour. A heartfelt thanks to all of you, his friends, who sympathised with us and helped in so many ways during Tim's illness, whether by visits, phone calls, letters, cards or mass cards, floral tributes or simple words of support, who attended the funeral service and cremation and expressed best wishes, fond memories or warm tributes to Tim on social media. Please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

I did business with Tim in his Gateaux days (and with Morgan in his Little Tikes career). I also played cricket against Tim in his Old Belvedere career. May the Lord have mercy on his soul. RIP Ben Willoughby (Liverpool)
